About Gautam Siram, MD

Gautam Siram, MD, is a fellowship-trained hip and knee reconstruction/replacement surgeon with his own private practice located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. His mission is to provide integrative, hands-on care to individuals living in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia

A native Washingtonian, Dr. Siram received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he graduated magna cum laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He then completed his orthopedic residency at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Siram then completed a fellowship at the renowned Anderson Orthopedic Clinic, learning both the art and science of hip and knee joint replacement surgery.

He is a trusted orthopedic joint replacement surgeon designated as a "Top Doc" by Washingtonian magazine. Dr. Siram serves as the Director of Outpatient Joint Replacement for Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital, where he is also on the Board of Directors for the operating room. He is one of the busiest joint replacement surgeons in the DC area and is known for providing compassionate and patient-friendly care.

Dr. Siram is dedicated to educating himself about the latest changes and advancements and currently maintains membership in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Adult Hip and Knee Society. He is an active board member for the Anderson Orthopedic Clinic and is currently an Associate Professor at George Washington University.

At his private practice, Dr. Siram treats patients with knee pain, hip pain, arthritis, and other painful joint conditions. When conservative measures fail to alleviate pain, he offers state-of-the-art minimally invasive joint replacement procedures like knee replacement and hip replacement surgeries. He also offers complex knee and hip revision surgery to help relieve the issue and improve your quality of life. He strives to reduce surgical and recovery times for his patients.
